Verse of the day: Isaiah 12:4

"And you will say in that day: “Give thanks to the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted."

There are moments when gratitude overflows our hearts until it must be spoken aloud. Isaiah’s words capture that sacred urgency: when we recognize God’s goodness, silence no longer suffices. Thanksgiving becomes testimony. The prophet envisions a day when God’s people will not only give thanks privately but will carry that gratitude into the world—calling on His name, telling others what He has done, and lifting His name high above all others.

Imagine the illuminated scene: gold light spreading from the center, a trumpet raised, the divine name shining in letters of fire. This image mirrors what happens within us when faith turns to praise. The trumpet represents the voice of the believer, bold and clear. The spreading light symbolizes the ripple of witness—one heart praising God can spark another to do the same. And the exalted name gleaming above all reminds us that every act of gratitude points beyond ourselves to the One who is worthy.

In our own lives, this verse invites us to move from gratitude to declaration. It is one thing to thank God quietly; it is another to “make known His deeds among the peoples.” Every story of mercy, every answered prayer, every moment of grace is a brushstroke in the great illumination of God’s glory. As we speak of His goodness, we participate in the artistry of praise, turning our lives into living manuscripts that reflect divine light. Today, may our words and actions shine like gold on vellum—an offering of joy that proclaims His name exalted.
