Verse Of The Day: Acts 4:10

NIV: Acts 4:10

then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed.

Theme: The verse narrates the power of faith and redemption with a blend of divine authority, healing, and resurrection. It centers on the notion of salvation through Jesus Christ, God's divine intervention, and miraculous recovery.

Emotions: The key emotions encapsulated in the passage are reverence, hope, salvation, faith, vindication, and divine awe. There is also a sense of accusation and confrontation that is directed towards the people of Israel, who are being reminded of their wrongdoing in crucifying Jesus, contrasted with the joyful truth of His resurrection and healing power.

Imagery: The verse captures several dynamic images — the resurrected Jesus Christ, the miraculous healing of a man through His name, and the audience witnessing these miracles. These images are imbued with remembrance, incredulity, humility, and thanksgiving.

Illustration: Depict a scene where a crowd is gathered around a healed man standing tall, with traces of past ailments still visible. Above him, shimmer the ethereal form of Jesus Christ resurrected, bearing signs of crucifixion yet radiant with divine light. The crowd, composed of various people of Israel, react with a mixture of awe, guilt, joy, and disbelief. The atmosphere should be charged with revelation, regeneration, and amplified by a bright, hopeful aura enveloping the scene, symbolizing the healing power and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
