Verse Of The Day: Matthew 24:35

NIV: Matthew 24:35

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

Theme: The theme of this verse is the eternal and unchanging nature of God's word. It emphasizes the supremacy and permanence of His words in contrast to the temporality and impermanence of physical elements like heaven and earth.

Emotions: This verse may evoke feelings of awe and reverence towards the undying potency of God's word. It might also evoke a sense of comfort and security since God's word is steadfast and unchanging, unlike the temporary and changeable things of the world.

Imagery: The imagery involves a strong juxtaposition between the heaven and earth—representing the tangible and visible—and God's word—representing the intangible and eternal. This stark contrast creates powerful imagery of breakdown and renewal.

Illustration: Illustrate a scene with the earth and heavens dissolving or fading away into mist or shadows. But, contrast this fading scene with bright, enduring, golden words lingering, unwavering and untouched. This will capture the contrast between the passing physical universe and the immutable word of God.
