NIV: Proverbs 14:34

Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.


Theme: Overall, this verse brings forth the themes of morality, consequence of actions, national prosperity and downfall. It stresses on the fact that the moral conduct of its people can elevate or degrade a nation's honor. 

Emotions: The verse evokes feelings of caution, reverence, aspiration and even fear (of wrongdoing). It enlightens reader with the awareness that their actions and choices hold weight and shape the fate of their nation.
