Verse Of The Day: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

NIV: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

Theme: This Bible verse originates from 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. The theme of this verse focuses on the value of human bodies as vessels for the Holy Spirit, given to us by God. It imparts the message of recognizing our worth in God's eyes-that we are much more than mere beings, we are the Holy abode of His Spirit. It underscores the concept of giving importance to spiritual life and maintaining purity because we are claimed by God and bought at a significant price - the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

Emotions: humility, reverence, self-worth, responsibility, and gratitude. There's a sense of belonging and realization of our true identity in God and not just from a worldly perspective.

Imagery: The imagery is embodied in the comparison of our bodies to a temple - pure, sacred, and holy. The use of the phrase "bought at a price" conveys imagery of sacrifice, love, and redemption.

Illustration: Depict a symbolic temple filled with divine light that represents a human body. The temple should be ornate and magnificent, signifying its divine importance and purity. The Holy Spirit can be presented as a radiant, gentle flame residing in the core of this temple. Around the monument, have a scene that symbolizes the world's temptations, indicating our responsibility to keep the temple undefiled. To signify 'bought at a price', subtly, use the symbol of the cross or a crown of thorns somewhere in the scene to denote Christ's sacrifice.
