Verse Of The Day: Proverbs 29:25

Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.

Themes: Trust in God, Fear and Consequence, Safety in Belief

Emotions: Fear, Security, Trust, Liberation

Imagery: The verse evokes the imagery of a snare or trap, which symbolizes the entanglement one can get into when they fear other humans – their judgments, their actions, their perceptions. It also paints an image of a protective shield, or sanctuary, which represents the safety one experiences in trusting God.

Illustration: A figure is seen hesitating at the entrance to a dark forest, eyes wide with fear. Embedded in the dense trees and undergrowth are hidden snares, representing the 'fear of man.' Above the forest, the ominous clouds start to part, allowing a beam of warm, divine light to break through, illuminating a clear path through the forest, symbolizing the 'trust in the Lord.' The contrast of fear vs faith, danger vs safety could be strongly depicted through this imagery.
