Verse of the day: Matthew 19:14

"Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”"

When Jesus declares, “Let the little children come to me,” he isn’t only making space for the young; he is unveiling the heart posture that grants access to heaven. Children embody trust—they rely completely on others, receive love without pretense, and find wonder in small things. Jesus teaches that spiritual maturity begins not in mastery but in surrender. The kingdom of heaven belongs to those who, like children, approach God without calculation, agenda, or pride.

This imagery reminds us that God does not ask for perfection; He asks for presence. In our adult world of deadlines and anxieties, this verse calls us back to simplicity. Prayer need not be eloquent; it can be as brief and earnest as a child’s cry. Worship need not be grand; it can be found in gratitude for a sunrise or a shared meal. When we let go of self-importance and approach God with open hands, we rediscover joy. The kingdom of heaven, Jesus assures us, is already open to those who dare to believe as children do—without hesitation, without fear, and with hearts wide open to love.
